Mesa Boogie M9 Carbine Bass Amplifier

Mesa Boogie M9

The Mesa/Boogie M9 Carbine Bass amp is essentially an updated version of the M6 Carbine, a bass amplifier that bass players worldwide hold dear for its all-tube Trans-Class preamp and MOSFET power section which gives the M6 its clarity and versatility. The M9 was presented at NAMM 2009, and is already making heads turn.

The difference between the M9 and the M6 lies within the upgrades. The M9 Carbine features more power (900 watts into 4 ohms) and a full set of dynamic features, as well as a 9-band studio-class EQ. The Mesa/Boogie M9 can dish out enough volume for larger venues and still retain its detail, speed, and punch.

One of the awesome features that the M9 Carbine brings to the table is the ability to trigger the EQ by way of an included footswitch (or, it can simply be set and left). The M9’s EQ also includes a feature called VOICE DEFEAT, which can turn off a VOICE Mode whenever you trigger the EQ with the footswitch, giving you instant access to a totally different sound while playing.

The Mesa/Boogie M9 Carbine also incorporates an on-board compressor (with controls for RATIO and THRESHOLD), which gives you expanded control over the amount of gain reduction and attack of your tone. These compressor controls also are seamlessly integrated with the Carbine’s preamp.

Check out the new Mesa/Boogie M9 Carbine. You will love the control that the M9 Carbine gives you over your bass guitars tone.
