Gear-Vault webzine has been rockin’ steadily online for about a year and a half, bringing you new, not so new and vintage music gear news and information. Our contributions to the music- and guitar- world does not stop there.

We also offer a great (and growing) feature where you can buy, sell and trade your music gear for free. We don’t charge any of those pesky listing fees, selling fees (final value fees as eBay calls it) or membership fees. We also don’t force you to use any certain payment methods, how you and the buyer/seller mutually decide to close the deal is entirely between you! What’s more, we don’t constraint information, such as website links listed in your auction. Meaning you are more than welcome to post your banner and/or URL or product reviews in your listing. And last but not least, trust and safety is our #1 goal on Gear-Vault Classifieds. Bullshit is not welcome! Lucky for us, Gear-Vault will not draw in all the sleazebay crowd from eBay, only musician’s equipment and musical gear will be sold at Gear-Vault Classifieds.

How can Gear-Vault do this for free and not charge fees while eBay (and other auction sites) are over charging to sell?
The simple answer is; we’re not greedy. Our goal isn’t to make money from you; we’re offering free services to give back to the music community, not take away from (our income comes from ad revenue). The only thing you can pay for (and it’s optional) is for the extra features. For example: getting “Verified” is only $2.00. This will give you a “Verified” icon next to your name and your first positive feedback at Gear-Vault Classifieds. The idea is to make sure your PayPal shipping address is the same as your Gear-Vault shipping address. This ensures prospect buyers that you are who you say you are. Buyers will be more willing to buy from you if they are assured that your name and address is “Verified”.

Since Gear-Vault Classifieds is free, we ask for your help. Obviously we don’t have the resources to advertise. So help us out and tell a friend or post a topic on your favorite message forums and blogs. Help us spread the word so other musicians can save money and grief from buying and selling on eBay and other websites that charge fees.
